Veraciting is still in development and isn't published on Microsoft AppSource yet, so there's nothing to install today. When it launches, it'll install the way any Word add-in does — from AppSource or your firm's Microsoft 365 Admin Center, with no installer and no admin password. The rest of this page describes the planned experience, not a shipping product.
how install will work.
This is the experience we're building toward. Exact steps, timings, and platform support will be confirmed at launch.
open Word.
Veraciting is planned to attach to Word itself, not to a specific file.
insert → get add-ins.
Once published, you'd open the Office Add-ins window from Insert → Get Add-ins (Windows) or Insert → Get Add-ins… (Mac).
search, then add.
When Veraciting is listed, you'd find it by name and click Add; Microsoft would ask you to accept the add-in's terms, as it does for any add-in.
a ribbon tab appears.
The planned design adds a Veraciting tab to Word's ribbon as the pane toggle.
centralized deployment via M365 Admin.
At launch, firms using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center are intended to be able to deploy Veraciting to a tenant or selected users through the standard Integrated Apps flow. This isn't available yet.

your marks will be plain Word bookmarks.
A core design goal: the marks Veraciting adds are intended to be standard Word bookmarks that travel with the .docx whether Veraciting is installed or not, with the TOA field updating through Word's own machinery. The aim is that nothing is locked to us.
